Fire of the Sun was created at the time of Arab Spring. Transformation and change was happening all around, fire of the sun, leapt through the space to stoke this fire of freedom. We sing this explosive song at Sweat Lodges when the fire is growing from a flicker to an inferno, to heat the stones we need it hot, we call the granite or basalt rocks the grandfathers. The lyrics are based on a poem by Rumi. In the recording Giles was not happy, then he grabbed his Martin and added a wonderful guitar strum and brought the song to life.
